Local moves are charged on an hourly basis plus, travel time. The hourly rate includes the truck moving team, and basic packing materials. 1st Choice also provides additional optional materials and packing services.

A truck is also charged by the hour. Keep in mind that you need a truck designed to move household goods, not to move freight.
Travel Time

This charge covers the mover's cost for traveling from the pickup location to the destination, and returning to his facilities from the destination after the move is complete.

This is the cost of boxes, tape and other optional packing materials provided by the mover during the move. 1st Choice provides FREE padded blankets with every move to ensure the safety of your goods.

This is an hourly or per item rate that is charged to provide optional full or partial packing services.

    Express Delivery

    Our fastest delivery option. Includes an exclusive truck that will carry only your belongings, pick-up and drop-off, no stops, no holiday restrictions and guaranteed delivery dates (weather permitting). Regular price + $2.25 per mile round trip.

    Timing:
    Next day if the moving distance is between 0 and 400 miles; 1-2 days between 400 and 1,000 miles; 2-5 days between 1,000 and 2,000 miles; 3-6 days for 2,000 miles and beyond.

    Cost:
    Regular rate, plus $2.25 per mile, round trip.

    Restrictions:
    None.

    Standard Delivery

    The most popular way to move. A cost-effective, multi-family move with multiple stops along the way to keep our prices affordable.

    Most moves take 2-14 business days; 21 business day maximum.
